I booked a Masterclass tour on Jan 18th ‘25 with my son Archie for part of his 21st Birthday.
Ray was our host, he was brilliant. The knowledge and anecdotes he shared and his passion for Penderyn were infectious
We have left with a couple of bottles, a load of memories and a new approach to the way we enjoy a single malt as father and son. Thanks Ray

This was an interesting visit, I learnt a lot about this place and about whiskey making too. Guild was interesting too. We were part of a group who used the event as a birthday surprise 😄

Enjoyed a great tour by Helen. The staff were friendly and helpful and the tour was interesting and informative. So good to see a working distillery and learn about their unique still. Would highly recommend.

Had a fantastic experience on the masterclass. Lisa, our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about both the process of distillation, but also about the whiskey itself. Very personable and cheery, it’s clear that everybody we met loved their jobs!

Really interesting visit. Even without the master class there is a lot to learn and if you can ask relevant questions you will learn even more. Our guide responded very well to questions with satisfying answers that expanded our knowledge and enriched our understanding of the process. Like another reviewer I am also a biker. The roads are wonderful and I need to return on the bike (BMW R1200 GS)

A very interesting and personable tour.
Not long but it’s not a huge distillery (to its advantage). Lots of detail and a very pleasant tasting at the end, good shop too with a few exclusives.
Would recommend to anyone who has an interest in whisky in general or this particular brand.

Had a fantastic time here, which was made all the better with our tour host, Carla. She was extremely welcoming and very knowledgeable and gave a warm smile throughout. Carla shared the heart and soul of Penderyn and the manufacturing process and her passion and enthusiasm for working there clearly showed, whist also making sure her tours guests were made to feel included and informed. Thanks Carla for an informative, welcoming and very enjoyable tour. We thoroughly enjoyed all of it.

Oct 2024 - Visited the distillery for a guided tour. What a worthwhile visit!
Our guide Helen was an absolute delight and her passion for and knowledge of the company was so apparent. I visited on a weekend so the distillery wasn't operational but through Helen's commentary the entire works was brought to life.
What a fascinating history and insight to the inner workings of how Penderyn produce their varied whiskies and more. I was there for about 1½hrs.
Well worth visiting!

A great little distillery surrounded by wonderful roads. As I was on a motorcycle I didn’t taste, but bought a couple of bottles and a glass. The staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough in wrapping everything really well for me to pack on the bike. Well worth a stop

We live in USA. SOME YEARS AGO WE WERE IN CARMARTHEN( I WAS BORN IN FERRYSIDE) PURCHASED A BOTTLE OF YOUR PRECIOUS WHISKY - ONE OF YOUR SPECIAL EDITIONS - DYLAN.
I HAVE NOT BROUGHT MYSELF TO OPEN THE BOTTLE UNTIL I HAVE ANOTHER!!!
MY WIFE AND I VISIT THE UK ATLEAST ONCE A YEAR - INDEED, A WEEK FROM NOW AND WE MIGHT NOT GET TO WALES ON THIS OCCASION BUT WILL HUNT DOWN A BOTTLE WHEN IN LONDON

We enjoyed exploring Wales and were excited to bring back some Welsh whiskey and spirits from the Penderyn Brecon Beacon Distillery. However, we were disappointed to find that there were no sample testers available without signing up for a tour. During the tour, each person received only one glass of tasters for two choices, though the pours were generous. We feel the tasting experience could be improved by offering more variety at smaller volumes, allowing visitors to find the perfect choice for their tastes. Overall experience wasn't that good.

The first stop on a long weekend trip to Wales. The tour was excellent. Very interesting and informative. Ray was a legend! Hubby is a whisky fan, but I don't drink it. However, I did find one I liked here! Highly recommended checking it out if you're in the area =^.^=

What a perfect Father's Day treat for this whisky loving Dad who already had a liking for the Madeira Penderyn. We had an excellent tour and Helen answered all the questions our keen group (brother in law and sister in law) literally bombarded her with! She was not only knowledgeable but wonderfully entertaining. This will be a precious memory for us all...............we will be back!

Great tour and excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the distillery process and great fun during the tour. Excellent whiskey and great tasting session at end of tour. Good value for money and a great day out. I would thoroughly recommend it to all whiskey lovers 🥃👍🏻

My first visit to a distillery and an enjoyable experience, the tour was led by Sarah who was both knowledgeable and welcoming, once the distillery portion of the tour is finished the chance to sample the different whiskies created there or if driving two sample bottles to enjoy later, then into the shop, without the tasting I probably would of purchased a sherry cask but the lightly peated won me over, would definitely recommend both the whisky and tour.

Took the distillery tour with Lisa the guide whilst visiting the area. Great experience and more than a few laughs with the guide! I am a whisky lover and was fascinated with all the technical details on the tour. Fascinating to see the various, ways their Whiskey is produced and a lovely opportunity to taste some after.. I bought a lovely gift set of the Maderia cask.. Well worth a visit if you are near Penderyn
